Slavery Editorial

In all history of mankind, there have been many evils, but never has there been a greater evil than slavery. In battle, good men die daily by rifled musket, but what you do not see on battlefields is many more dying from the Dixie's whip. For what? So sorry excuses of men can have their precious greenback. All the while, my people, my family suffers through the torture of each new day. We deny human beings dignity and the freedom to have control over their own lives. We should not be pushed around and treated like objects. We have been made the same as any Reb and should be treated as so. God gave us the gift of life, and he also gave us freedom in His words. His words are clear, everyone is equal. Skin color should never determine one's worth.  As the lord has said, "Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him." Our own constitution in this country states men are equal. What are we to deny the law that made this country. The Infantry of the Union stands for the fact that no man should have any control over another.  None are superior, and none are inferior. The Graybacks can just keep on fighting, but they will never win. Their battle will always be led by greed, but the Yanks will always lead by faith.
